...If Your Ship Doesn't Come In...Swim Out To It!

At Sue's Swim School we strive to deliver the highest quality swim lessons in a safe and professional manner. Still, we're as happy as anyone to receive a compliment!

I am so impressed with the quality of the swim program at Sue's.  My children love the water, and I feel so much safer knowing that they have the skills to get out of the pool should they ever fall in.  My daughter wakes up every morning and asks if we are going to see Sue today, and presents me with a huge smile when I tell her yes.  I plan on keeping my children in lessons for years to come.
--Michelle - Danville, mother of Nicole 4 & Connor 2
We've been coming to Sue's for four years now and we can't think of a better program.  We love the individual lessons and feel that the children lean more with intense individual attention.  We highly recommend Sue's Swim School to everyone.  Our children have learned to swim after two seasons.
--Lisa - San Ramon, mother of Jack 5 and Davis 3
My son started the parent and me class when he was 6 months old.  After only two sessions he is not only extremely comfortable in the water, but 100% safer as well.  The skills and techniques my two children and I have learned from Sue have been worth every penny and more!
--Alison - Walnut Creek, mother of Joey 17 months
Our son, Daniel, started swimming lessons at Sue's Swim School in the summer of 2003 when he was 1 1/2.  A lot of the initial instruction concentrated on water safety and getting comfortable in the water.  Daniel progressed quickly developing his swimming skills under Sue's guidance.  He is confident and careful in the water.  Sue's nurturing encouragement and teaching techniques are validated every day Daniel jumps into our neighborhood pool.  Daniel has never used "floaties" or "wings."  He looks forward to his lessons and his smile indicates how much fun he has.  People constantly point in amazement at our little guy when he dives into the pool and swims back to the side.  We are extremely pleased and proud with Daniel's swimming abilities.  Thank you Sue for doing such a great job.

"Swimming Miss Susan!  Swimming Miss Susan!"  This is how our 2-year-old daughter begins and ends the days she has swimming lessons at Sue's Swim School.  Sue has quickly become one of our daughter's most trusted and loved friends.  Her progress in the pool has astounded us.  We watch her at her lessons and say, "Wow!  Look what she can do!"

We put in a pool when our son was an infant.  Our foremost concern was water safety.  I had heard about Sue's Swim School from other women in my mother's group and enrolled my son in Sue's Parent and Me class when he was 10 months old.  By the end of the summer he was able to hold his breath long enough to swim under Sue's legs and up to me!  He continued to take lessons for a total of five summers, and became a very safe and confident swimmer.  When my daughter was one year old she followed suit.  She had been born two months premature, and I knew that premature children sometimes lagged behind in motor development.  Sue taught her in the Parent and Me Class, and then in private lessons.  She is now 4 years old and in her fourth summer of swim lessons with Sue.  Our family and friends are amazed to see how strong and competent she is in the water.  She dives for pool toys at the bottom without hesitation, and swims a beautiful freestyle stroke across the length of the pool.  Sue's teaching method is positive, firm and consistent.  She is always respectful of her students and both of my kids love her.  Sue's swimming lessons have given me peace of mind, and have given my kids a strong sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.  I think they will prove to be the introduction to life-long enjoyment and participation in physical fitness.
--Liz - Walnut Creek, mother of Daniel 7 and Maddie 5
Sue has a wonderful program!  My children could not hold their breath in the water after a full summer at the community pool.  After two sessions with Sue my 7 year old was swimming the width of the pool, and my 4 year old could dive for rings and pull herself out of the pool after jumping in.  At 11 months old I started my son; he could swim before he could walk.  Thank you!

I first started taking my son to Sue's Swim School when he was almost two.  We started with the Parent and Me Classes, then went on to private lessons.  When we first started my main concern was water safety.  My son was strongly opposed to the concept of submerging his face in water , and for the first six lessons complained with crying and screaming.  All of the instructors at Sue's Swim School are extremely well trained at dealing with this behavior.  They are consistent with their expectations of the children and do not allow their crying to get in the way.  Though the lessons are only fifteen minutes, the professionalism and techniques Sue teaches go a long way in that short period of time.  Within just a few lessons my son learned how to reach the wall of the pool to get to safety.  My son is now in his second summer at Sue's and everywhere I take him other parents are amazed by his swimming ability.  They can't believe he can swim so well and is not even three years old.  The time and money you spend on the lessons is an incredibly good value considering how Sue's Swim School can not only teach your children water safety, but how to become confident swimmers as well.
--Nivia - San Ramon, mother of Chase 3 1/2
If you want your child to feel confident about being in the water, Sue's Swim School is a MUST for you.  Sue's techniques are effective and the results are almost immediate.
--Joan & Marty - Danville, parents of Cole 3
Our son Michael, who is now 5, has been a student at Sue's Swim School since he was 7 months old.  Wherever we go (County Club, swimming parties or events, or on vacations) the other parents can't believe how well our son can swim.  They always say, "your son swims like a fish!"  My husband and I are so grateful to Sue's Swim School.  Now our 10 month old, Andrea, is also a student of Sue's.  We wouldn't go anywhere else!
--Pearl - Alamo, mother of Michael 6 and Andrea 2
Water safety was the utmost importance to me and actually learning to swim was an added bonus.  To my surprise both came quickly and easily to both of my kids.  IN fact, the Speedo rep can't even believe he has to order a swimsuit so small because my 4 year old is now capable of being on the swim team!  My 21 month old is also swimming on his own.  When he is done he knows to give Sue "five" and she "picks him up."  I am so pleased with Sue and her swim school not only for my kids, but for me.  All summer we are around water and I can relax my brain, not my eyes, knowing that my kids are safe in the water.  If results are what you are looking for then Sue's Swim School is where you should be!  Thanks!
--Dina - Danville, mother of Mikelle 5 and Ty 3 months
My son has been taking lessons at Sue's Swim School for the past 5 years.  He has learned so much, and absolutely loves his lessons.  He started taking lessons at 18 months old; our main reason for starting the lessons has always been water safety.  However, along with the great safety lessons he has learned he has also become a very good swimmer!  I would recommend Sue's Swim School to anyone who wants friendly, quality and expertise lessons for their child.
--Michelle - San Ramon, mother of Brad 7
Words cannot express how thankful I am to Sue and her excellent instructors.  A year ago my daughter would not leave the steps at the shallow end; a problem I never thought she would overcome.  Now she is diving from the deep end with no fear.  My son is water safe and thoroughly enjoys being in the water.  My children have learned skills at Sue's that will be with them forever.
--Candace - Danville, mother of Samantha 8 and Ethan 5
In Sue's class, safety comes first.  Sue uses unique techniques that make sense and even better...they work!  Kate is my second child to attend Sue's.  The first one is a very competent young swimmer.  Thanks Sue!
--Celia - Alamo, mother of Kate 2 1/2 months
All four of my children have participated in Sue's Swim School.  I chose Sue's Swim School based on a friend's recommendation and it was on of the best investments I've made for the safety of my children.  Sue's teaching style is safe, consistent and very effective.  As a mother I felt confident my children were being taught first, how to be safe in the water, and eventually the skills to be independent swimmers.  And for my kids - they love it!  The staff is friendly and professional and all the instructors are excellent.  Sue has a program for every child at every age from my 6 year-old twins to my 16 month-old daughter.  As a child I spent every summer in the pool with my brothers and sisters and now my children can do the same and be safe!  Thanks to Sue and her Swim School.
--Nicole - Alamo, mother of Rocco 4 and Jovanna 2
If you live in California, nothing is more important than teaching your children to respect the water and become confident swimmers at a young age; Sue's Swim School and its instructors deliver outstanding results on both counts.  With a compassionate but no nonsense approach Sue and her team will teach the skills needed so that your children become strong swimmers while just as importantly adding to your peace of mind.  With the results we have received I would whole heartily endorse Sue's Swim School for kids of any age.
